My Other Blogs

Mr Mazumdar, who I happened to pass each morning as I walk my two dogs in the bio-diversity park, stopped a few days ago for a short conversation. We spoke about our work - he was in the advertising field - and I was having a problem getting through to my prospective clients here in India. And he asked if I blog. To which I replied in the affirmative. He then asked, "What is it called?" That stumped me momentarily, not because I rarely blogged, but exactly the opposite. I wanted to tell him one blog that represented me professionally and I couldn't remember the name of the newsletter blog that I used in conjunction with my firms' website. So I told myself that I should probably have a master blog - a blog of all my blogs, a sort of personal page - that I could refer to when such questions came my way, and which had easy access to all my other blogs.

I could have used an easier url than "insouciantexplorer.blogspot.in", but all the names that came to me on the spur of the moment were unavailable (already in  use by other clever wordsmiths), and I wanted to name it as I would like to name my autobiography, if it were ever worth writing, so "insouciantexplorer", for better or for worse!

I have a portfolio of blogs that I created at random over the years based on how my interests were evolving. Some are fairly well developed, many left as a work in progress, either because I got bored of it, or because my thinking on the subject had not evolved to a level where I could blog it effortlessly!

If you follow the link to my profile to the right of this page, you will probably be able to access all of it. I blog primarily to clarify my own thoughts on a topic of my interest. I am also using it to communicate with my kids, since they live in a "different timezone" albeit in the same city. One of these days I am probably even going to need to introduce one to the other.

To help you navigate my blogs, I will weave a thread through them and provide links to each in the next few paragraphs that I intend to write at some point in the future. I don't need it as I get to access all my blogs on the Blogger Dashboard, a convenient dashboard thoughtfully provided by the super intelligent geeks that run this place!

I have started to use WordPress too, just to see the difference. I will provide links to those blogs too at an appropriate time.
